The Development of Women's Enterprise Mainstreaming Network - in particular the Mersey Partnership - brought together key players to promote the women's enterprise agenda across the region and increased awareness of the economic impact of women who are active in enterprise at sub-regional and regional level.

The network supports the development of women's enterprise in line with the regional women’s enterprise strategies and national Strategic Framework for Women’s Enterprise to which members of AWE made a significant contribution.
